Rolvenden Cat Rescue & Tattycats
We are producing our own calendar for Naturist Life magazine. We will be making donations to Rolvenden Cat Rescue and Tatty Cats for each calendar sold at £10.00. plus £4 P&P.
Rolvenden Cat Rescue care for as many as one hundred cats and kittens at any one time. Unlike some charities RCR is a no-kill rescue and does take in more difficult-to-home cats including the elderly and those with illnesses needing long term treatment. In these cases Rolvenden Cat Rescue looks for a permanent foster home – they cover all vet bills while the carer covers food, litter and gives all the love and care for what could be just months or maybe even years. This of course does mean a huge financial outlay for what is a small rescue, which of course is even more difficult in the current climate as fund-raisers stopped due to lockdown yet the rescue is still taking in emergencies.
Our other Rescue is Tatty Cats, a small rescue in the Medway towns run by one person with help from her partner and brother and supported by lots of us. Again small but carrying out amazing work and taking on cases that other rescues would either not take in or would PTS. Heartbreaking at times when all the effort comes to a sad end but the cat/kitten has been given every chance and lots of love. Tatty Cats – on Facebook – helps put people and rescues in touch with each other to try and find placements as everywhere is full to bursting.
