End of April-beginning May Trip to Belezy and Origan. Slight change to original plans as after our regular trip to Belezy where we will again visit the superb market in Bedoin and celebrate May day we are then travelling eastwards to Club Origan, the smallest of the France 4 holiday centres. In the Var valley this is an undeveloped (as far as tourism is concerned) part of France and yet only an hour from Nice. Good walking both on site and in the surrounding area.

13-15 June Spielplatz open weekend. A great weekend for meeting up with friends, relaxing in the sun, listening to music and with lots of stalls and sideshows. It is essential to book early as space is limited for campers and caravanners - otherwise just turn up on the day for day visits. Not got your own camping equipment - well if we have not moved if you bring a sleeping bag there is (limited) space on the floor of our bungalow. We also hope to have a stall for the Shabden Shop - help appreciated.

19-21 June Nudefest - a repeat of the popular camping weekend in Cornwall - more details from British Naturism.

25 June Garden Open Day - A return visit to the delightful garden near Uckfield in Sussex. Proceeds from this event go to Rolvenden Cat Rescue. More details HERE.

27-29 June Jazz festival at the Naturist Foundation, Kent. Shabden will have a stall for the weekend - help appreciated. You will need to book early if you would like a camping pitch. We are still waiting for details of booking procedure.

4 July Evening trip on the paddle steamer 'Southern Comfort' with disco and buffet included. Board at 7.45 to sail at 8pm - we do not wait for latecomers. We return at 11pm. 'Southern Comfort' is based next to the Swan Hotel, Horning which is a couple of miles down the road from Wroxham, Norfolk. Cost of tickets is £12.50 for Shabden members/Naturist Life subscribers, £15 for guests. Due to limited numbers tickets must be booked in advance from the editorial address. Beginning July Week in Spain - possibly El Fonoll, the holiday centre that captured your editor's imagination when she saw it in a Parafotos film.

4-6 July Weekend at Merryhill to tie in with our Missippi Paddle Steamer Trip and their Summer Ball (on the Saturday). The Summer Ball is normally a formal occasion with the gents wearing lounge suits and ladies pretty frocks and costs £7.50 to include a strawberries and champagne reception. Beginning July Week in Cornwall This secluded house has room for nine people in two doubles, one twin and one triple room. Not for people with mobility problems as it is 200 yards from the road (luggage is transported at start and end of stay). Private beach with deep water mooring if any of you have a boat - if not there is a rowing boat. Sun-trap cobbled sunken garden. Cost will be about £175 per person. To secure this booking we need deposits by the end of October. If this falls through - a fortnight at Euronat in June!

20 August Shabden Strollers meet for the High and Over walk. Meet up is at High and Over at 11.30 am. We promise the walk will be less than five miles. Then on to to Birling Gap and sun on the beach. Normally people stay on for a meal in the pub before dispersing home. Speak to David for more information 0870 777 6837.

Late August/Early September We really enjoy going to Euronat so we are going back again. Why not join us for part or all of the time we are there. David and Suzanne will be arriving 27 August to 8 September. If you would like to camp you can arrive any day of the week, but for accommodation it is Saturday to Saturday until the end of August, after which it is by the day.

All summer and through a warm autumn. A member invites other members to his home at Wantage, Oxfordshire, to use the secluded corner of his garden for nude sunbathing. Please ring Ken Leach 01235 763902 for directions.

By Train: Bricket Wood railway station is about a mile away, served by trains from Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey approximately every 45 mins. Alternatively, travel to Watford Junction or St Albans City stations, and take a taxi or the 321 bus. (At St Albans, walk or take a bus to the city centre to catch the 321)

By bus: "Lye Lane" bus stop on route 321 (Watford-St Albans-Harpenden-Luton) is about 700m away. Every 30 mins weekdays, hourly in the evenings and on Sundays.

By car: from the M25, leave at Junction 21A, exit roundabout on A405 to St Albans, at next roundabout (by Noke Thistle hotel and petrol station), go all the way round and back down the A405, left into Lye Lane, taking care on this country lane frequented by pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. Spielplatz is about 700 metres on your left.
