10-13 April Open house at Suzanne and David's home. Laze in our garden and have a chat with friends. You must let us know in advance if you are coming. If you wish to use the facilities of Spielplatz you must pay the discounted day visit rate.

End of April/beginning May L'Eglantiere and Euronat. A coast and mountain holiday. We have reversed the French holiday dates due to flight start dates to Corsica.

Come along as day visitors or camp (book direct). Suzanne is leading this with technical support from David, but offers of help, especially if you have any material on your researches, would be invaluable.

23-25 May Camping weekend in Kent, Bower Valley near Rolvenden. Basic site, with a wood to explore and time to relax. Same prices as 2007, £3 for a tent/caravan or motorhome plus £2 per person per night. All proceeds are donated to Rolvenden Cat Rescue. There is a cafe a short walk away within World of Water for those who do not want to do all their own cooking.

4 July A cruise down the River Bure on the Southern Comfort, Mississippi Paddle Steamer. Buffet meal and disco. Mid September We've not been to Corsica for a while and the weather is normally good at this time of the year. The balneotherapy centre is superb and some use of this is included in the fees. Therapies are also available at an extra cost. Accommodation is literally within a hundred metres of the water's edge and there is a good restaurant on site - a wonderful end of season holiday

Visit Spielplatz any time. If you would like to spend the day, a special day visit charge (25% reduction) will apply. You will be required to show your membership card at reception to receive this reduction. Or why not make a weekend of it and take advantage of the caravan/camping pitches available-

By Train: Bricket Wood railway station is about a mile away, served by trains from Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey approximately every 45 mins. Alternatively, travel to Watford Junction or St Albans City stations, and take a taxi or the 321 bus. (At St Albans, walk or take a bus to the city centre to catch the 321)

By bus: "Lye Lane" bus stop on route 321 (Watford-St Albans-Harpenden-Luton) is about 700m away. Every 30 mins weekdays, hourly in the evenings and on Sundays.

By car: from the M25, leave at Junction 21A, exit roundabout on A405 to St Albans, at next roundabout (by Noke Thistle hotel and petrol station), go all the way round and back down the A405, left into Lye Lane, taking care on this country lane frequented by pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. Spielplatz is about 700 metres on your left.
